Board of Directors

HCMUD 18 is governed by a Board of Directors made up of 5 directors elected from the District. All directors are residents and serve staggered 4 year terms.

The Board of Directors meets on the second Monday of the month at 9:30 am, at the offices of AEI Engineering, LLC, 11450 Compaq Center Drive, Suite 660 Houston, Texas 77070.

The District does have occasional special meetings at designated meeting places inside the boundaries of the District. Residents of the District have the right to request the designation of a meeting location within the District under Water Code Section 49.062(g). If no suitable meeting place exists inside the District, the Board may designate a meeting place outside the District that is located not further than 10 miles from the boundary of the District. If the Board of Directors fails to designate a meeting place within the district or not further than 10 miles from the boundary of the District, after the receipt of such petition, five registered voters may petition the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to designate a meeting location.
